Spinach Powder

Spinach is an edible flowering plant in the family Amaranthaceae. It is native to central and southwestern Asia.
Spinach Powder (Spinacia Oleracea) is created by grinding dried spinach leaves. Spinach Powder has a mild spinach flavor.
It is perfect for adding vibrant color and flavor to fresh pasta, noodle, flour tortillas and bread doughs. Try it in yeast breads, quick breads or muffins combined with herbs or sun-dried tomatoes for a light, savory flavor. The powder form adds flavor without bulk or liquid and can boost nutritional value without changing the volume of a dish. Vegetable powders like the spinach powder are perfect in soups, stews and sauces and can act as a thickener.

Basic Prep:
Mix spinach powder into flour before adding wet ingredients; about 1/2 ounce for every pound of flour.
