Description
Soy sauce is made from fermented paste composed of mashed soy beans, roasted wheat, brine, and Aspergillus mold. The paste is then pressed and the liquid is what we know is soy sauce, which is then pasteurized and bottled. Soy sauce powder is that liquid cooked down until only solids remain. These solids are then lightly toasted and milled into a fine powder. Soy sauce powder can be used dry or re-hydrated in seasoning mixes, rubs, dips, soups and sauces. To reconstitute mix roughly 1 part powder to 1 1/3 parts water.
