Description
A lobster mushroom is not a mushroom, but rather a parasitic ascomycete that grows on mushrooms. It has turned a beautiful bright red color on the outside with firm white flesh inside. Lobster mushrooms can have a seafood-like aroma when cooking and adds rich flavor and color to any dish. Lobsters are a white wine mushroom. Match with foods normally associated with white wine.
Rehydrate by soaking in hot water for 30 minutes, drain and squeeze out excess water. 1 oz. package.
