Description

The Bhut Jolokia pepper is named for its ghostly bite! This chile pepper is formerly recognized by Guinness World Records as the hottest pepper in the world.  The pepper is typically called the ghost chile or ghost pepper by U.S. media.  It grows in the Indian states of Assam, Nagaland and Manipur, and the Sylhet region of Bangladesh and can also be found in rural Sri Lanka.  Use smoked serranos to add bold, uncomplicated heat and smokiness to dishes.  These all-purpose hot peppers are perfect for hot sauces, great for pickling, wonderful for flavoring guacamole, chili, and rubs.

After handling the chiles, wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water.
