The most unique smoked sea salt available is created when Fleur de Sel is cold smoked with Chardonnay oak chips to preserve the mineral content and natural flavor of the salt.  Seasoned French oak wine barrels, which for years have been used in the aging of fine wines, are hand selected for wood smoking chips.
The moist Fleur de Sel crystals readily absorb the natural smoked flavors of the oak and chardonnay. You will notice a light toasty brown tone, but you will taste a deep smoke flavor without bitterness.

Use as a finishing salt, add to your favorite spice blends, and top fresh salads.  The smokey flavor lends itself for roasting meats and veggies.  Sprinkle on seafood, add to a variety of sauces, and deepen the flavor of soups.
